Film Evaluation Within my film there was many advantages and disadvantages. Some of the advantages are that we managed to plan the film in the short space of time we were given and also we managed to edit the film to the best of our ability. We also kept the gerne of film throughtout but we added in aspects of comedy, because it will therefore be appropriate for a group of younger people because the horror wouldn’t score then too much. Some of the disadvantages of our film are the setting, the costuming and longer camera shots. The setting needs improving because the genre of the film is a horror but the setting doesn’t justify it because it is really light outside and we’re in a courtyard. To make the setting we could do it when it’s darker, winder and in a grave yard for example. This would improve the film because people would believe that something bad is going to happen because of the atmosphere. Ideas: The film will be set in a courtyard. The genre of film we would like to do is a thriller. Plot- we have the typical stupid girl called Holly , who is confused all the time, but she’s also the last one to die. We also have a hero called Brad to a certain extent because he saves Holly and he dies he dies because of you. The villain is called Tom and he wants revenge because either Holly or Brad killed his dad, but Tom doesn’t know who killed his dad but he’s willing to kill them both. Synopsis: Tom has flashbacks to his dads death and he has ideas of who killed his dad but he isn’t completely sure. Tom decided the only way he can get revenge is if he kills Brad and Holly. Holly and Brad are currently in a relationship and because Brad is in love with Holly and he thinks the only way he can declare his love is by saving Holly’s life. Prisoner A nalysis In the scene from ‘Prisoner’ the camera at the beginning slowly zooms in, this is because it shows suspense because the camera is moving at a slow paste . The camera is filming from behind so therefore the focus will be on the ladies serving and the surrounding because we can't see the man's face. This makes is suspicious because the film is called prisoner and we can't see the prisoners face. The lighting in the scene is low-key lighting because its dark outside so therefore the weather is bad and because its night time. The low-key lighting can also present the face that the man is the prisoner and because he was in prison it could present darkness because that’s what he's used too. At the start the only lighting there is from the café, this allows the audience that are watching it to focus on the café because it stands out from the rest of the picture. You can also see the reflection of the car but because the car isn’t
