Ideas:
The film will be set in a courtyard. The genre of film we would like to do is a thriller.
Plot- we have the typical stupid girl called Holly , who is confused all the time, but she’s also the last one to die. We also have a hero called Brad to a certain extent because he saves Holly and he dies he dies because of you. The villain is called Tom and he wants revenge because either Holly or Brad killed his dad, but Tom doesn’t know who killed his dad but he’s willing to kill them both.

Synopsis:
Tom has flashbacks to his dads death and he has ideas of who killed his dad but he isn’t completely sure. Tom decided the only way he can get revenge is if he kills Brad and Holly. Holly and Brad are currently in a relationship and because Brad is in love with Holly and he thinks the only way he can declare his love is by saving Holly’s life.

Tom chases Brad and holly through the yard his dad got shot in. Brad is in love with Holly so he wants to be a hero and save holly because it will show her how much he loves her. However, Tom wants both holly and brad dead because he wants to seek revenge and honour his dads death. But, who killed his dad? Is the question on the tip of everyone’s tongue.

Brad saves Holly from Tom after being chased through the dark, cold and frosty yard . The thought of dead bodies underneath Tom makes him want revenge even more. After Brad saves Holly he falls to his death, as you can imagine Holly is feeling distraught but she continues to run away from Tom for Brad. The clumsly girl Holly trips over and she knows that this is the end of the road for her and she wants to be with Brad, but she realises that Brad will wan tjer to stay strong and carry on.

Tom thinks he’s about to honour his dad until the tables turn and Holly kills Tom and reveals that she killed Toms dad.

Cinematic ideas:
At the beginning Tom had a flashback to his dads death. We will use a zoom in to go through Toms eye into the past. Non digetic sound is used to shows that Toms dad got shot.
The lighting is very low-key because Tom is traumatised by his past and he has a dark soul. In the film we have a hero and the lighting on Brad will be high-key lighting at all times because he saves everyone else.

Scenes:
Scene 1: Tom has a flashback to his dads death and he has an ideas of who killed him.
Scene 2: Brad and Holly are together on a nice romantic walk.
Scene 3: Tom chases Holly and Brad.
Scene 4: Holly falls over, Brad holds tom back.
Scene 5: Tom kills Brad because Brad saves Holly.
Scene 6: Holly continues to run.
Scene 7: Holly and Tom have a confrontation and Holly kills Tom.
Scene 8: as Tom dies Holly reveals that she killed Tom dads.
Scene 9: Holly takes her mask off (no digetic music)

Crimson Peak   The scene from ‘Crimson Peak’ shows different areas of the film such as the camera, lighting, mise-en-scene, and sound, but some of these have been used more effectively. The genre of the film is horror and the low-key lighting and how the director uses smoke and mist to add the atmosphere show this. In the scene, a lot of different types of shots were taken and they were taken at different angles. In the beginning, a medium shot was used because this shows that the character is in a comfortable position so in this part of the clip the audience thinks nothing bad is going to happen. Throughout the clip a lot of long shots have been used because it shows the setting or the sense of time, so therefore in ‘Crimson Peak’ it shows that its dark, so therefore because it’s the night time, people are more likely to have nightmares and this links with the genre horror because in horror films most of the time there is someone who is having a nightmare. There is a constant shift between passive and active spectator shift because of the type of audience watching. a passive audience is someone who watches a film without questioning the messages and values that are being portrayed throughout. On the other hand a active audience will challenge the messages and values of the film.  The different responses to an independent film will vary depending on who is watching the film, because if there is someone watching the film who has been through a similar situation then they are more likely to connect with the film, where as someone who hasn't been in the situation they will question whether they are over exaggerating or not.
